Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Ontario statutory holidays. Messages sent on a weekend are read on the following Monday.
A few tips that help us help you
- Corrections: include the article link, the sentence you believe is wrong, and a source for the correct information. We review every request, and confirmed errors are corrected with a dated note on the article. See our editorial policy for how this works.
- Story tips: tell us what you know, how you know it and how to reach you. If you need to stay anonymous, say so in your first message and avoid sending sensitive documents until we have talked about the safest way to share them. Please do not use a work device or work email to contact us about your employer.
- Pitches: read our write for us guidelines first. A short pitch with a clear angle beats a finished draft.
- Press releases: we read them, but we rarely write about funding announcements or product launches without something more. Embargoed material is fine; we honour embargoes we have agreed to in advance.
- Shop orders: include your order number (it starts with a # and appears in your confirmation email). For damaged items, a photo of the item and the packaging speeds things up. Our shipping and returns page answers most questions.
- Privacy requests: tell us which email address you used with us so we can locate your information. We may ask you to confirm your identity before releasing anything. Our privacy policy explains your rights.

This is a working office, not a storefront, and we do not offer in-person shop pickup or walk-in visits without an appointment. If you need to send us a product for review, email [email protected] before shipping anything: unsolicited packages may not be accepted, and we return or donate review units as described in our editorial policy. Shop returns have their own process; please do not mail returns to this address without first getting a return authorization from [email protected].
What we can’t help with
We are a magazine, not a support desk for the products we write about. We cannot fix your laptop, recover a hacked account or resolve a dispute with a company we covered, though we are always interested in hearing about patterns that might make a story. If you have been the victim of fraud or a cyber attack, contact your bank, your local police service and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre first.
